I was. And I thought there must be a better way, so I did some poking around on the Blogger dashboard and found a short cut.
It’s a small thing, but whatever I can do to save time when getting a post ready is really helpful to me.
I may be the last one to discover this, but just in case there’s someone else out there like me I thought I’d pass along this little tip.
Trust me…. it’s really easy.
If you look at the end of this post everything from ‘Thanks so much for reading!’ is now there when I open a new post page. I don’t have to add it every time anymore… and I’m sooo loving that.
Just go into your last post, go into html mode, and copy whatever it is that you put into every post.
Then go to your blogger dashboard, click on settings, then click on posts and comments. See the box beside Post Template… that’s where you paste the html code that you just copied from your post. (I ran out of colour ink just before printing this, so I had to scan the page in black and white.)
Click Save Settings in the upper right hand corner… and you’re done. Go back into posts, open a new one, and check it out.
You can add whatever you want to every post automatically with these few easy steps, and you don’t need to know anything about html. You just need to copy and paste.
I hope this is helpful.
Thanks so much for reading!
