First was the scarf.
Well you had to know another scarf project was going to show up sometime.
I haven’t done one in awhile.
I found this gorgeous scarf before Christmas and I had to have it. I knew if would be perfect for a project some day. Look at those colours!! They definitely say Easter to me.
So I had this 10″ wreath form, and then I remembered the $1 bunny couple that I thrifted last Easter.
Aren’t they sweet?
They’re made out of bass wood, are hand painted, and as light as feathers.
I went to put the laundry into the dryer, and I came back to discover Pixie had decided she liked the scarf too. I have to say that it is very soft and cozy.
Once Pixie was finished napping, I wrapped the wreath with the scarf and simply pinned the two ends together at the back.
I hung the wreath on the chicken wire with an unfolded paper clip.
Then I added the bunny couple with fishing line.
I simply tied the fishing line around their necks and then around the wreath.
I adore this colourful bunny couple, they’re so fun and whimsical.
I decided not to go with a bow this time. I kinda like the frame as is.
Crafting with scarves is one of my favourite things to do. They do most of the work for you, and you get so much bang for your buck. Literally one buck… and sometimes even less
Here’s another look at it. I moved my book birdcage from my dresser to the table beside my settee. I think it just looks better there.
It was a beautiful bright sunny day yesterday with a wind chill of -37(C). To say it’s been cold here is an understatement.
During these frigid days I need fun and whimsical things around me to remind me that spring and summer are not just figments of my pink imagination. lol.
