It was so cold this past weekend (like -36 Celcius with the windchill… yikes!) that I didn’t go out to do any thrifting, but I did find some cool things last week.
I’ve long been an admirer of burlap, and have done a few projects over the years using it… such as my repurposed tealight tree flower art that I just posted.
I had never seen burlap sacks in my neck of the thrifting woods…
until I found these… three burlap sacks for $3 each.
It was love at first sight, but when I got home I said to myself… “What in the heck are you going to do with these you crazy girl?!”
Honestly I have no idea.
And yes I talk to myself. Doesn’t everyone? 🙂
This one has a cool logo on the front…
and is blank on the back.
They’re all a little wrinkled, but this one is really wrinkled.
Have you ever tried to iron a burlap sack? I haven’t. Any tips?
This one has the same wording on the front and back…
in this lovely green.
And this one has a lot of purple wording and a fabulous thick green stripe down the front…
and the back.
They all measure about 29″ by 41″, and structurally they’re in great shape.
I’ve seen so many things done with burlap sacks… mostly upholstery projects. I’m going to have to think about this for awhile… roll it around in my brain and see what comes out. lol.
Are you a burlap fan? What would you do with them?
Thanks so much for reading and until next time… keep on keepin’ on.
