Curtain Ring Wreath Ornaments

I hope your Christmas season is going well, and that you’re all taking some time to enjoy.

I have some curtain ring wreath ornaments to share with you today. They’re easy to make and are one of my favorite repurposed ornaments.

Shower curtain and regular curtain rings can be repurposed into so many things like my Shower Curtain Ring Christmas Tree, and my Curtain Ring Pumpkins.

Supplies for curtain ring wreath ornaments

To make these you’ll need some curtain rings (mine are wooden), some cording and glitter… mine are both green but you could use whatever colors you want, Mod Podge, and a glue gun.

The wooden curtain rings I’m using are about 2 1/2 inches across. I find these often at thrift stores for cheap so I pick them up whenever I see them.

wrapping cording around wooden curtain rings

Wrap the cording, or whatever you’re using, around the curtain rings and then tie it at the back in a simple knot.

My cording is pretty thick so it didn’t take long to wrap.

hot gluing cording on wooden curtain rings

I added a dab of hot glue at the knot just to make it extra secure.

And here are my wreath ornaments all wrapped.

I wanted to add some sparkle to them so I covered the wreaths with come Mod Podge.

And them I sprinkled them with green glitter.

I made my way around each wreath, making sure to get the insides and outsides as well.

I left the backs of the wreaths glitterless, but you can do them too if you like.

Here are mine all sparkly and glittery.

Be sure to shake off the excess glitter before letting them dry for a few hours.

Then I lightly applied some spray urethane that I had on hand to help keep the glitter in place so it doesn’t end up all over the house.

I dressed up the wreaths by hot gluing some small green velvet bows  on them, which I cut a bit because they were a little too long.

Some miniature bells and a few small decorative leaves from a Christmas pick dress the bow up a bit.

To finish them off I tied some gold cording on to the eye hooks on the curtain rings, and that’s it.

And my curtain ring wreath ornaments are ready to hang on the tree.

They’d be great on packages as well and the recipients could then use them as ornaments on their tree.

This is a quick and easy project that can be changed up in so many ways depending on the supplies you use.
