Easy Craft Scissors Storage

I found this bunch of craft scissors a couple of years ago for $5 for the box. I snapped them up with great visions of using them in so many ways.

They got put away in a box in a closet and forgotton about.

I had good intentions and this happens to me all the time… if I don’t have things out where I can see them they never get used… but when everything is out it tends to get messy.

So this craft room reorganization has become about finding  permanent places for the things that I really want to use on a regular basis… and these scissors are one of those things.

Here’s where the scissors are going… on the side of my computer armoire that I made over a few years ago.

I removed all the necklaces, took out the existing finishing nails, measured to hang my 26 pairs of scissors, and marked points 3/4″ apart.

I found these pretty copper nails in my stash.

I hammered the nails in where I had marked.

And hung my scissors with their pattern side out.

I also nailed up a tie holder to hang the next wind chime candidates. If I keep them out it’ll nudge me to work on them, plus I love having silver pieces around to look at.

I started collecting rulers a while ago so they’re hanging along the top from binder clips. As I add more to my collection I’ll store them here until I have enough for a project that I have in mind.

So what did I do with all those necklaces? I’ll show you later in the week.

Thanks so much for reading, and until next time… keep on keepin’ on.
