Favourite Finds of 2015
Happy 2016 friends!
Last year I saw several blogs do year in review posts not only for their projects but also for for their favourite finds. Since so many of my posts are about vintage and thrifted finds I decided to give that a go.

My favourite projects post yesterday was based on traffic from my readers, but this review is solely based on what item I loved the most from each month.

January – Vintage Peacock Clock
I still have this funky clock in my master bedroom.
It does work, but there are no batteries in it because it ticks a little too loud for my ears.

February – Set of 2 Vintage Southern Bells Pillow Cases
Never saw these before in my neck of the thrifting woods and I just had to rescue them.
They SOLD in my etsy shop.

March – Guitar CD Holder
I love this guitar, but this was one of those makeovers that didn’t get finished.
I started it and then got sidetracked (so what else is new, lol) and never got back to it.
It’s an outdoor project that definitely will get finished when spring rolls around again.
Hopefully in Feburary, lol.

April – Set of 6 Roses Teacups
I love teacups, even though I never use them. I’m a mug girl, but I love to look at these.
They’re so pretty. Eventually I’ll be able to part with them and I’ll list them in my shop.

This shelf is in my master bedroom and was an awesome find. It’s still a keeper.

June – Vintage Metal Parrot
This parrot is probably one of my most unusual finds.
Even though he’s just taking up room in my craft room/studio
I haven’t been able to let him take flight to warmer skies yet.
Some day… maybe.

July – Rusty Crusty Saw and Copper Goblets
I have a thing for copper, and rust too.
This saw was just used in my Repurposed Hand Saw Tree
The goblets are still waiting to be repruposed.
I have a project in mind for them, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Love these necklaces. They are so tactile and they feel good too. lol.
I’ve never worn them, and some day they’ll be listed in my shop.

September – A Wanderer in Paris Antique Book 1910
I just started reading this book and I’m finding it very interesting.
This is one of my favourite finds, as old books always are.

October – Antique Set of Shakespeare
Including these.
In my little corner of the world I can never have enough antique books around me.

November – Vintage Drill Bits and other Tools
I am a girl who loves new tools to use, and old tools to reuse and repurpose.
I have a project in mind for these drill bits.

December – Vintage Suede Accordion Style Jewelry Box
I still love love love this unique jewelry box.

I just think it’s so cool, and haven’t been able to part with it yet.
I had a blast looking through all my thrifted finds posts. It’s reminded me of some of the things I have stashed away that need to come out and see the light of day.
There were a few months where it was really hard to pick a favourite find. I was lucky to find so many wonderful treasures this year. Do you see a favourite here?
What was your favourite find of the year?
Thanks so much for reading and until next time… keep on keepin’ on!
I should do this just to remember all my found treasures! I didn’t blog about most of them so I’m not going to get much help like you did! LOL
I’m still intriqued with that jewelry box.
xo, T.
lol. I have so many things hidden away that I can’t remember most of them. Time to give in to the urge to reorganize and get things out into the light and purge. I’m still loving that jewelry box too. It might be staying with me for awhile.
Very cool finds! Drill bits… a girl after my own heart! Love those old books too. Happy New Year Tuula!
Happy New Year Sherry! I can’t pass up vintage tools… or books either.
All great finds, but the vintage book about Paris is my fave! Hope 2016 is treating you well so far!
Thanks Vicky! I’ve just started reading it, and it’s really interesting. Love anything about Paris of course. Glad to see that you made it home safe and sound. I’m sure you had a great trip.
