Finds of the Week #25
Whenever I see something France or Paris related it makes my heart go pitter patter.
Like these 3 vintage framed pictures. There’s no signatures on them and I’m not sure if these are water colours, hand-tinted or what, but they are keepers and are hanging in the master bedroom.
They are professionally framed with brown paper backs.
I’m pretty sure the above is the back of Versailles in France. We were there a few years ago and this looks very similar.
The fountains weren’t on like in this picture, but it was still an extremely beautiful place.
The above looks like a view of the Seine that we’ve seen.
I’m not sure what this one is.
I’ve tried to do research on French countryside mansions or castles and I came up with nothing, but since these 3 pictures are a set it makes sense that this is somewhere in France too.
At least that’s what I’m telling myself. lol.
This vintage Paris souvenir bracelet is one of my favourite finds. There’s no maker’s mark on it anywhere so I haven’t had any luck researching it, but I love how colourful it is, and it’s Paris… so it’s a keeper.
I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, but I do love to wear earrings and bracelets.
It has all the important tourist attractions…
and is in very good condition.
The clasp is a little bent but it still works perfectly.
That’s it for this week. Not a lot of finds, but what I did find was pretty special. I did say a while back that I was going to be more picky about what I bring home, and I’m sticking to that…. so far. lol.
Thanks so much for reading, and until next time… keep on keepin’ on.

I love the bracelet
Me too! It’s a keeper.
It’s all about the quality, right? Love those Parisian prints and the beautiful bracelet. A good week. Thanks for sharing your treasures at Vintage Inspiration Party.
Absolutely Betsy! Some weeks it’s just one or two special items, and that can be a great week too. This one was for me.
How special to find things that touch your heart. After all the stuff we all buy to repurpose or sell, it is so nice to find something just for ourselves. I just love that bracelet!
I agree AnnMarie! It is nice to find things that we have no intention of selling or changing. We can just enjoy them, and not have to think about it. Don’t we have enough projects to think about already. lol.
Oh my gosh, I love your bracelet! That’s a great find.
Thanks Sheila! I love it too. It has become one of my treasures.
That is chateaux chambord
Wow! Really? I’ll have to check that out. Thanks so much for the info Sheila.
There might be something written behind the brown paper on the back of the pictures Tuula?
I don’t know if you can access that area without damaging the back though.
Regards, Pam
Thanks for the tip Pam. Maybe I can try to peel as section away to see if I can find anything.
PS. Well done on your finds!
Thanks Pam! I do love them.
I believe your third picture is the south facade and garden basin of the Luxembourg Palace.
Really? How interesting. I’ll have to google it and check it out. Thanks for the info Pam. 🙂
Great finds Tuula! The three photos look so good hanging together. And how cool they remind you of your visit.
Thanks so much Sherry! I’m always thrilled when I find anything France or Paris related. It makes me feel homesick for a place I’ve only been to once. That makes no sense at all. lol.
It may be Tuula, that you had a past life experience in France.
I think you might be right about that Pam. My heart is quite heavy right now.
After reading your blog I went out to find my weeks vintage finds. Your braclet had caught my eye as something special and more so after the sad days in Paris. I don’t usually look at jewelry but out of nowhere was a replica of your braclet. It was totally out of my price range but I knew that the connection meant something.
What an amazing coincidence Val. Mine is a real treasure for me, especially now. My heart is quite heavy over what happened in Paris.
