Finds of the Week #20
The knobs on the side slide up and down to allow you to adjust the height of the inside candle holder.
The candle is inserted and as it burns down it can be raised by loosening the knob, moving the knob up, and then tightening it… until the candle holder reaches just below the top of the candlesticks.
Very cool!
These 5 large jars were just $1 a piece and are now holding vintage and antique cookie cutters, molds, etc. The jars are a great size at about 10″ tall, and they have snug wooden lids.
Here are  some antique cookie cutters that I found recently.
The card suit set is probably from the 30s or 40s.
They have soldered handles on their tops.
Just like the darker ones in this lot.
Here’s a set of 3 vintage dripping iron rosettes for making Scandinavian cookies.
I’m not sure if this copper sculpted wire box is vintage or not, but I love it. It’s marked E. Cointreau.
This vintage Made in England lazy susan cookie container is such a wonderful combo of colours.
I found a bread board like this one a while back and I’m working on its makeover now. The rolling pin and scarf holder will also be getting makeovers.
This decorative metal framed tile set is unmarked, but its idyllic scenes have an English quality to me.
And last but not least this very shabby chic triple vase. It’s made of heavy wire and has 3 glass inserts that are still in tact. I’ve never seen anything quite like this. The vases are shaped like vintage soda pop bottles.
Some of these things are already in my Thrifty Rebel Vintage etsy shop and, except for the jars and the wooden pieces, the rest will follow once I’ve finished some research.
Thanks so much for reading and until next time…

Love that last piece…so unique! I'm always happy to find vintage cookie cutters also!

Very neat finds once again! That copper box is very unique. The last piece reminds me of a wine bottle holder. Hope you're having a great week!
Great finds. Those candlesticks are neat and so are the tiles
Cindy
Love the tin! The cookie cutters are quite lovely too.
Great stuff! Love the wire vase…so unique. I love the picking and the great finds but sometimes the research frustrates me and slows the fun down!
You did it again, Tuula! Another great group of lovelies. I really wonder about the history and stories behind some of your discoveries.
Wow Tuula, great finds once again. Love all the cookie cutters and the English tin is precious. 🙂
Love the candlestick holders; so cool! I'm a fan of Cointreau triple sec in my favorite cocktail, not that I enjoy one very often. Haha. The tiles are really neat too. Great finds.
I don't think I've ever seen candlesticks like that before, very interesting that they move up and down. Fun finds as always. Love those cookie cutters!
Love all of the cookie cutters and the candle holders are so unique! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
