Finds of the Week #8
A vintage Chemagro ladel, a small hammered aluminum dish, a Supreme Industries baking pan with a lovely patina, and two mini muffin tins marked GSW.
I also scored 5 silver handled knives (the blade parts are stainless steel), and a sweet little fairy.
Check out the feet of the aluminum dish. I hope this fairy will find her way into a fairy garden this summer.
The snow is finally gone from the back deck so I was able to take some pics outside of this wrought iron stool and metal guitar.
I love the curves of the stool. It’s very sturdy and with an added layer of towels it has quickly become a favourite cat bed.
I’ll have to make a cushion for it one of these days, but I think the wrought iron may just stay as it is. It already has some nice natural distressing going on.
I found the guitar at a local flea market where I don’t often buy much of anything. It’s not that I don’t see great stuff. I do… all the time, but it’s rarely priced low enough for me to buy.
I was thrilled when I saw the price of $5 and I grabbed it thinking it would be perfect in the garden, after a makeover of course.
It has a stand, and it wasn’t until I got it home that I realized it’s actually a CD holder. So cool, but it’s still going in the garden.
That’s it for this week. Thanks so much for reading!
Great finds Tuula! The wrought iron bench is my favorite! It Is too cute! Have a fun weekend!
Oh my husband would LOVE that guitar! We have been decorating a new facility for our arts and cultural center and he has guitars hanging all over the place. I will have to keep my eye out for one of those! That little bench is adorable! I can just see a sweet kitty sleeping on it.
I can see making a cushion for that bench sooner than later – it's so adorable!
A cushion for the kitties is a definite must – and leave it white. I love all the aluminum stuff. Perhaps muffin tin succulent gardens?
I love hammered aluminum and have many pieces, but don't use them much. The bench is perfect just add cushion. The guitar is wonderful and I would not have guessed it was a cd holder, very clever. Fun finds this week.
hugs,
Linda
Wow, again!! Awesome finds. Love the new "cat bed", my three would be fighting over it….lol Thanks for torturing, I mean sharing with us. lol Love ya' Patricia B
The best part for the cats is that it sits at a window right over a heat vent, where they can lay and watch the birds at the feeder on the back deck. It's cat heaven. lol.
I wish the yard sales/thrift store out here had cool stuff like this! I love your stool and guitar!

Fun finds, Tuula–I especially like the white bench. I'm attracted to all sorts of metal baking goods myself; like your ladle the best 🙂
That's the only aluminum ladle that I've been able to find. I wish I could find more for a garden display idea I have. I'm always on the lookout. The white bench is perfect just the way it is, but now I have to make a cushion. I've never made one before, but I like trying new things. We'll see how it turns out.
Excited about what you'll be doing to the guitar!
I absolutely love old baking tins, especially tart tins, and I use them all!
Great finds. I'm always on the hunt for silver flatware and chippy treasures. Love that white bench.
You found some pretty cool things! I would definitely put that guitar in your garden…it will be amazing. Looking forward to pics of your fairy garden and I LOVE the cat bench…or I should say they will love it!
Great finds! I love the aluminum dish and the stoll… and wondering if you found sterling or silver plate? Either way, good eye! Thanks so much for joining in with my "Let's Talk Vintage" link party!
I love your muffin pans, but you know they'll give you ALZHEIMER'S!!! 😛
