Five Quick & Easy Repurposed Scarf Projects for Christmas

Do you have some scarves hanging around the house that you could use in some repurposed scarf projects?

Scarves can be repurposed in so many ways, and they’re one of my favourite things to work with. They’re easy to store, and they come in so many different styles, shapes, colours etc.

I have what I would call a small collection of thrifted scarves, but depending on who you’re talking to it might actually be a large collection.

Would you consider 30 to be large?

Considering I never actually wear them… I guess it might be. lol.

But who’s counting? Certainly not me.

I never know when I’m going to need one for a project so when I see a $1 scarf ( or less) that strikes my fancy it has to come home with me.

Easy Repurposed Scarf Christmas Wreath

I made this simple scarf wreath last year to act like a frame around my little vintage Santa from my childhood.

I’m not a knitter so I don’t know what those coloured thingies are called, but they reminded me of Christmas lights so this wreath didn’t need anything more.

My vintage Santa was the star here.

These three master bedroom Christmas scarf trees sit on silver pedestals.

When you have a grouping like this no extra embellishments are needed.

They  make a lovely simple statement just as they are.

But this white scarf tree was displayed on its own so it got blinged up with some mini decorations.

Repurposed scarf Christmas pillow

This scarf covered pillow can literally be put together in a couple of minutes.

I think it would be fun for a kid’s room, or a big kid’s room…. like this big kid’s room a few years ago. 🙂

Please pin & share it.

  1. These are so pretty! Love the white one and how you have it decorated! Do you use glue at all to affix the scarves? I’m going to have to pay closer attention to them at thrift stores from now on.

Thanks Florence! I never use glue on scarves when I repurpose. I want to be able to take projects apart so I can reuse the scarves if I choose to at a later time. If they need to be secured in some way I use safety pins or fishing line, depending on the project.
