In Honour of Daffodils
Remember this?
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions on the colour for this makeover. I had a terrible time making up my mind.
But then I saw these.. the first blooming daffodils finally blooming by the bloomin’ ditch on our bloomin’ property, and I took it as a bloomin’ sign.
“Paint it yellow”, they said, for bloomin’ sake.
And I did… because I never argue with daffodils. That would be crazy.
I spray painted it with two coats.
I couldn’t find any half decent (or fully decent) pansies anywhere so I styled it with what I had.
Pretty little bath poufs blooming in silver creams and sugars.
Don’t they remind you of peony blossoms? Okay… maybe it’s just me.
 Here’s the before and after.
It’s so cheerful now. I can hardly wait to fill it with real blooming plants… if it would finally warm up and dry up, preferably at the same bloomin’ time.
Thanks so much for reading!
Have a fabulous day!

Love it, Tuula! (I tried arguing with a daffodil once, but Wordsworth came back to haunt me.)
Yes! Love the yellow you picked!
I love it and the yellow is perfect! I will be on the lookout for a similar piece. It would look great handing outside filled with purple pansies or any pretty flower! Have a wonderful Wednesday evening!
Blessings, Vicky
Yellow! It's perfect Tuula! Why didn't I think of that… where you going to put it?
It's perfect for spring, a very cheery addition to the garden.
Tuula,
So pretty. I love the yellow. It is so bright and cheery.
