It’s a Simple Life

The weather has been so beautiful lately that when I get home from work I haven’t been reorganizing my craft room… like I should be.

And I haven’t been planning my next project… like I could be.

And I haven’t been in the pond cutting down the grasses, trimming the water lilies, and scooping out the leaves… like I would be… if I felt any sense of urgency.

But I don’t.

The blue skies have been too gorgeous,

the evening fires in the wood stoves have been too cozy,

and the sunsets… just too magnificent, to be worrying about any of that.

So I’m not.

Instead I’m feeling thankful that I have a craft room at all, grateful that I’m free to do whatever project I choose, and just plain happy to share the soothing sound of the pond waterfall with my hubby.

It may be a simple life, but it’s a good one.

Thanks so much for reading!

  1. I don't blame you one bit for enjoying the fall weather! It's getting that way here too! Hey Tuula….have you ever tied up your grasses! I've been doing that to my MIL grasses after seeing it done somewhere else. It looks very cool for fall (kind of like corn shocks) and makes the much easier to cut in the winter. I just use some jute garden twine.
