Ornament Exchange Fun

It was such a blast to be a part of an ornament exchange this year hosted by Vicky over at Life on Willie Mae Lane. The way Vicky had the exchange set up was that we didn’t receive from the same person that we sent our package to. What fun!!
I had such a great time doing some extra snooping on the blog of the person I was sending to and putting together my package of Christmas items to send to her.
And I received a wonderful box of goodies from Julie at Julie’s Lifestyle.
I was so excited when I came home late one day and found a parcel tucked inside my screen door. I’m not one of those people who takes their time opening gifts. I just go for it. And here’s what I found inside.

There were four lovely wreaths crocheted by Julie herself, a Lennox angel ornament, a pair of Mary Jane slippers, and some Avon hand cream.

I love angels, and this one is sooo pretty!

The slippers are so soft and comfy and fit me perfectly.

Here’s the angel on the tree.

Here’s a close up of the crocheted ornaments.  Aren’t they sweet? I just love them. If you’d like to make some of these adorable wreaths for yourself Julie has a wonderful tutorial on her blog here so check it out.

Here’s the angel and one of the wreaths on the tree.

Thank you so much Julie. I love everything you sent me, and the hand cream smells just heavenly. It has been so nice to get to know you, and now I have another wonderful blog to follow.

My package went to Colorodo, to Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose, and according to the postal tracking it sat at customs for 6 days. EEEEK! I sent it two weeks ago and I have to say I was getting a little frantic until I saw on Friday that they finally made an attempt to deliver it and a notice was left so it can be picked up.

I was sooo worried, but now I’m sooo excited!! She has a wonderful blog that I’ve been following for awhile now.

Thanks Vicky for hosting the exchange. It was such fun!

  8. This ornament exchange was so much fun and I loved seeing all the goodies you got from Julie. All the things she made or picked out for you were great. I'd love to learn to crochet the little wreath ornaments, so I'll be sure and check out her tutorial. Hope the rest of your Christmas Season is as special as this ornament exchange was.

  9. What a lovely package you received! The angel is just beautiful. I too was in the exchange though I do not have a blog. I have met some lovely ladies through my daughter Stephanie at theenchantingrose. The gift package you sent her was just beautiful Tula! Every single item was perfect for her, amazing.

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Debbie

  10. What a lovely exchange. The angel is so precious. I am sure it must have reminded her of you. That little angel, in addition to looking angelic is also creating something…music. Much like you, the heart of an angel, always creating something beautiful.
