Paris Thrifted Finds
Paris is my favourite city and I’ve always got my eyes open looking for Paris thrifted finds, and sometimes I get lucky.
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve brought home a few Paris treasures.
Like this picture of of Pont Alexandre III over the Seine with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
It looks like oil, but it’s one of those vintage poster thingies. Doesn’t matter to me though. I still love it.
I’ve been looking for a globe for what seems like forever, and I finally found one for $3. I like that the water is neutral because it makes the colours of the countries really pop.
This totally counts as a Paris find. See… there it is.
This key holder isn’t vintage, but I still love it. It’ll be getting a little makeover.
I just found this awesome antique book, A Wanderer in Paris by E. V. Lucas, at a local thrift store for $1. All their hard covers are $1 regardless of age, condition, genre.
This is definitely one of my favourite finds in a very long time.
I love adding another antique book to my collection… and it’s Paris too. Yay!
Among many other books E. V. Lucas also wrote A Wanderer in Florence, A Wanderer in London, and A Wanderer in Holland. E. V. Lucas was a famous English humorist, essayist, playwright, biographer, publisher, poet, novelist, short story writer and editor… who apparently did a lot of wandering.
It includes sixteen water colour illustrations by Walter Dexter, a British painter of the day.
Here are just a few.
This is the 10th edition, published in 1913… over a century ago. That totally blows my mind, and I was so excited when I found it. It makes my heart go pitter patter.
It must have been a popular book in its day… 10 editions in less than 4 years.
It’s not in perfect condition, but who cares? Not me! We loved wandering the streets of Paris when we were there a few years ago, and I can’t wait to start reading it.
Have you found any awesome treasures lately?

Great and wonderful finds.
Oh, dear, guess I best not show you my Paris toilet paper stand then. I may wake up one morning and it’ll be missing. :}

How wonderful to find such special treasures! The book is really special. I love finding things like that to look through. I just found another stool yesterday like one I recently sold. I may or may not have to keep it. I was reluctant to sell the other one. Time will tell!
Such inspiration pieces Tuula. When do we leave??
My daughter loves all things Paris. I love the the Eiffel Tower print framed in black! Stopping by from WIW,
The book sends my heart into overload! Love it – what a treasure.
