April Feature of the Month

At one time or another, most DIY enthusiasts have experienced that sinking feeling, when an unexpected challenge threatens creative vision. In this case, mismatched doors camouflaged by heavy black paint, almost caused Tammy @ The Tattered Rabbit to come unhinged.  Not easily dissuaded, she persevered and masterfully created a shabby elegant makeover that is absolutely stunning! Stop by to see her gorgeous vintage phonograph and show her some social media love.

Party Features!

Tuula’s Pick

I love old windows and maps so this project is definitely a win, win! Cynthia from Clockwork Interiors made this fabulous map window using an old window that she picked up at an estate sale and a map of the UK.  She’s using it to lighten up her family room, but I can see this used in so many ways.  Check out how she made it, and I’m sure you’ll want to make one too. I know I do!

Tania at Little Vintage Cottage found a sweet vintage vanity stool at a garage sale for two dollars. Then she set about to transform it in splendid vintage style using part of a white chenille bedspread to cover the cushion. To top it off she trimmed the cushion with ball fringe. It is adorable and I would love to have one just like it.  Pay Tania a visit to see her delightful Vintage Vanity Stool Makeover.

Brooke from Start at Home Decor claims that she’s not an artist, but I don’t think I believe her. I’d say that it’s just the opposite! Her artistic talent is boldly displayed in her Dandelion Hand Painted Dresser that really pops with her fun, dandelion-covered drawer fronts. I love it so much that I think I might even try it myself! Stop by and check it out, along with more of Brooke’s fabulous furniture projects.

Melissa from Dancing Dog Cabin shares her ongoing quest for unique cabin stuff including her recent purchase of this lovely antique table that she has styled beautifully. Combining a flower filled silver pitcher with a vintage minnow bucket and an antlered stag is sheer perfection.  Drop by to see all of her charming cabin gear, it’s just delightful!

I just want to crawl into this beautiful fairy tale photograph and pour myself a cup of tea and relax. Emily at The French Hutch took advantage of the gorgeous display her roses put on and created a Rose Garden Tea for Two, using all kinds of vintage goodness to make it so very special. You can invite me over for tea anytime, Emily.

I really like your WP blog theme. Can I ask you what it’s called? It’s similar to mine, but I created mine on Thesis many years ago and need to upgrade it for functionality.
