Cherub Container Makeover and Craft Room Progress

Today I have a fast little makeover of this gold cherub ceramic container. I saw it in the thrift store for 50 cents and couldn’t resist it. Because of the finish on it I could hardly make out the details of the cherubs. Spray paint comes to the rescue again.
Here are some pics of the before.

Here it is after spray painting with a lovely white paint and primer combo. I like it so much better now. It sits on a shelf in my craft room and holds glass beads.

I’ve been posting smaller projects lately because I’ve been busy with bigger ones for my craft room makeover. Like building my 8′ tall MDF bookcases that will look built in. Here are my precut MDF shelves and sides that I started with.

And here they are after I built them. Yes.. I put them together myself… with girl power. Yah!! (And my power drill. lol.)

Now they’re ready to be primed, painted, and attached to the wall for extra support. Then I can get the rest of the stuff that’s cluttering the bedrooms and hallway back into my craft room.

I’ll be posting a tutorial on how I built these after my craft room reveal, which will be coming soon. After this I’m on to the window treatments and then the floor. Yes… I know… I’m doing the floor last? That’s just me… and the way I roll. lol. I am a rebel after all.
