Repurposed Wheel Fall Wreath

Fall will be here soon (yay!) and every year I love to create a new fall wreath… and I love putting them together, like this repurposed wheel fall wreath.

Especially when they’re as easy as this one.

I found some lovely fall foliage courtesy of my local dollar store. So pretty!

I’ve had this rusty wheel for a few years, and it’s just perfect for a fall projects like this.

I trimmed down the stems of the foliage and grabbed my handy dandy glue gun.

I glued the leaf picks into the side groove of the wheel….

…going around in a sprial-like pattern.

And because I used my glue gun I can take it apart any time I want to.

This wheel could be repurposed in so many other ways.

I glued a few extra leaves in here and there to fill in some bare spots.

And that’s it. My fall wreath is done.

And just like the Faux Pumpkinseed Scarf Wreath and Rusty Rooster Scouring Pad Wreath from past years it was so much fun to play with the the colours of the season.

Don’t forget to pin it!

Now I’m ready for fall to arrive with its fresh crispness in the morning air, the cooler nights, and the trees in all their glorious colours.

It’s our favourite time of year.

What about you?

Thanks so much for reading and until next time,

keep on keepin’ on!

  2. Fun fall wreath! I’m not a huge fan of fall because it signals that winter is just around the corner. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful time of the year, and your wreath is perfect to celebrate the season and the Thanksgiving holiday.

  3. That is just brilliant! And beautiful! I repurposed our old fall wreath…took off all the leaves and flowers and used the form, which seemed to be sticks. Turned out pretty well! Fall is the best! Love your wreath and the two previous ones you mentioned!! Dona

  4. That really is pretty and not too thick. I have a problem with some wreaths because of my storm door but this one looks like it would be perfect. On to look for a rusty wheel. Thanks for sharing.

    1. I have that same problem Patty. One year I made a Christmas wreath and some of the greenery froze to the storm door glass so now I’m especially mindful of that. This wreath is not much thicker than the wheel. I hope you find one soon.
