Check Out My New Digs! I’ve Moved!

Not physically… just technologically, but still a big move none the less.

Please come in and check out my new home. I’ll put on the kettle or, depending on what time it is, how about a glass of wine?

I haven’t had a chance to really clean up or organize yet, but who cares. What’s a little mess between friends? I’m so glad to see you.

I haven’t been around much the last few weeks because first I was preparing for the move, then there was the very nervous excitement of the actual move, and now there’s the recovery from the move. Speaking of that glass of wine… maybe it should be a bottle. lol.

So how did this move come about?

One afternoon recently I was sitting on the back deck pondering my blogging future and watching hummingbirds feeding at the bee balm.

I’ve been wanting to move to wordpress for a long time, but just couldn’t get myself to go ahead with it…even though I started up a private dummy practice wp blog last year.

What was holding me back?

Fear of the unknown… of change… of what I didn’t know.

These hummingbirds who grace my garden every summer migrate to and from Central America and Mexico every fall and spring, and we’re in Ontario, Canada.

How amazing is that?

I can’t even imagine how many unknowns they must face.

In this big, big, big, world there are these tiny, beautiful, and delicate creatures taking these incredibly long and dangerous journeys. They seem so brave to me.

So I decided it was time to put aside the fear…  and just go for it.

Thanks to these amazing hummingbirds I finally moved… and here I am… and even though it’s a little bit scary, and I have a lot (tons) to learn about my new home, it’s feeling pretty good already.

The new look feels like me, and I’ll learn whatever I don’t know later… everything will come in time.

I hope. lol.

Also I was able to officially change my name to Thrifty Rebel Vintage. Yay!

More about the actual move later. Right now I just want to get back into what I really enjoy doing… projects. I have a bunch of neglected ones, half done, that have been vying for my attention… and I just started a long overdue makeover of the upstairs hallway.

I know, I know… I haven’t completely finished the master bedroom yet. lol. But I have to go where the inspiration takes me. That’s what keeps this whole thing fun… at least for me.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and until next time…

keep on keepin’ on!

Good morning, sweet Tuula! I just noticed my comments are not going through….so sorry about that. I will try again and let you know that I am simply tickled pink about your move 🙂 I look forward to following along here, dear friend.

Also, I will be featuring your beautiful spoon pendants at Roses of Inspiration later today. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Have a wonderful week. Hugs!

    1. Thanks so much Stephanie. This comment came through fine. Everyone’s first comment needs to be approved and then they go through OK after that. Thanks so much for stopping by my new bloggy home…. and thanks for featuring my spoon pendants.
